7/19/10 - I have a commemorative pistol
for sale, issued by the American Historical Foundation.
It is a .45 auto, model 1911A1, Army Commemorative.
It is in a walnut display case, has a lanyard, and paperwork,
certificate of authenticity. The pistol is black, with walnut
grips, 24k gold accents. The weapon manufacturer is Auto
Ordinance. There were only 1911 of these issued, and the
number for this one is 1377. The pistol was purchased originally
by my late brother-in-law,(Linda's brother) a Viet Nam vet,
and when he died, his Dad had it, and when he died, I inherited
it. No one in their family wants the pistol. I will sell
it to a LPD retiree, friend, or vet for the original purchase
price of $1,000. The pistol is in excellent shape, never
been fired, and was racked for inspection and possibly field
stripped once.
